How TrulyFlirt helps keep you safe, and what you can do to protect yourself when chatting and meeting people.

How TrulyFlirt protects you

  • Adults 18+ only: everyone confirms their age during onboarding.
  • Likes are private: someone only learns you liked them if they like you back.
  • Only matches can message each other.
  • We show your city, never your exact location.
  • Messages are scanned for common scam signs, such as requests for money or pressure to move to another app, and you see a warning when we find one.
  • Blocking and reporting take effect immediately, and reporting someone also blocks them.

No background checks

TrulyFlirt does not run criminal background checks or verify identities. Take the same care you would with anyone you meet online.

Demo profiles in the private beta

During the private beta, profiles labeled "Demo" are fictional. Nobody is behind them, so do not arrange to meet them or share personal details with them.

Spot a romance scam

  • Strong feelings very early, before you have met.
  • Constant reasons why they cannot video chat or meet.
  • A sudden emergency, travel problem, medical bill or customs fee.
  • A "can't-lose" investment or cryptocurrency opportunity.
  • Pressure to move the conversation to another app, phone or email straight away.
  • Any request for money, gift cards, cryptocurrency or bank details.

Never send money

Never send money, gift cards, cryptocurrency or bank details to someone you have not met in person, whatever the story. No genuine match needs your payment details. If someone asks, stop replying and report them.

Before you meet

  • Keep chatting on TrulyFlirt until you feel comfortable. Blocking and reporting only protect you while the conversation is here.
  • Have a short video call first to check that they are who they say they are.
  • Don't share your home address, workplace or financial details.
  • Tell a friend who you are meeting, where and when, and agree on a check-in time.

On the date

  • Meet in a busy public place for the first few dates.
  • Get there and back on your own, so you can leave whenever you like.
  • Keep your phone charged and your drink with you.
  • Trust your instincts. You never owe anyone a date, a reply or an explanation.

Block, report or unmatch

  • In ChatGPT, ask TrulyFlirt to block, report or unmatch a member by name. ChatGPT confirms who you mean before it acts.
  • Unmatch ends the match and hides the conversation from both of you.
  • Block hides you from each other for good and ends any match.
  • Report tells us what happened (for example a scam, harassment or someone underage) and also blocks the member.
  • You can also email support@trulyflirt.com about any safety concern.

Using TrulyFlirt in ChatGPT safely

  • ChatGPT only sends a message after you approve its exact text. Read it before you confirm.
  • TrulyFlirt never asks for your sign-in code, password or payment details in chat. Only enter a sign-in code on trulyflirt.com.
  • ChatGPT can only describe what TrulyFlirt's tools return. It cannot see photos or verify anyone's identity.

If you are in danger or have been scammed

  • If you are in immediate danger, call your local emergency number, for example 112 in India and the EU, 911 in the US or 999 in the UK.
  • In the US, report fraud to the Federal Trade Commission at https://reportfraud.ftc.gov.
  • In India, report cyber fraud at https://cybercrime.gov.in or call the 1930 helpline.
  • Elsewhere, contact your local police or national fraud reporting service.
  • Then report the member on TrulyFlirt so we can act on the account.
